Workshop on Mindful Communication and Personal Responsibility
Imagine this: you try to explain something to a close person, but your words are misunderstood. Tension rises, your sentences start to falter, and thoughts like “Why don’t they understand?” or “I need to defend myself” take over your mind.
Most misunderstandings don’t happen because of the words we use – they arise much earlier, in the body, the breath, and the unspoken boundaries we carry with us. Old patterns and automatic reactions activate in moments when clarity matters most, often pulling us away from authentic communication.
In this experiential workshop, we learn how to recognize and change these patterns. Through work with the body, breath, and carefully guided exercises from the SMER method, we explore:
- How misunderstandings arise even before words are spoken,
- Where we lose contact with ourselves and shift responsibility onto others,
- And how to step out of automatic reactions to create a calmer, clearer space for conversation.
The workshop connects movement, breath, and focuses on everyday communication situations – in relationships, teams, and close connections. You will learn to recognize your own reactions, create space for conscious choices, and take responsibility for your part in communication.
This workshop is for anyone who wants mature, mindful, and authentic communication – communication that begins before words and continues through taking responsibility for oneself.
